Born and raised in the North Thompson Valley Dana does not remember life before skiing, starting right from the toddler stage and growing up by the local ski hill set her on course. After she became the first North American woman to pass the ACMG ski guide courses and exams on telemark equipment- she discovered it didn’t matter. Dana has diverse experience in guiding heli-skiing, cat skiing, ski touring and ski mountaineering and she has guided numerous wilderness hiking trips in several western Canada mountain ranges. Dana just loves powder skiing and is stoked to have her homeschool daughter Astrid out in the mountains more on the big girl powder skis for 2016. One of Dana’s greatest strengths is taking her guests on cool fun ski lines and seeking out the best snow for the day. She is passionate about snow science, terrain and avalanche study- teaching the AST level 2 is a highlight for her every winter.
